In 1982 I travelled to India to specifically see and travel on the Indian Railway while steam was still in operation. I had missed steam working in the UK by a few years and only have a few memories of it. In India I knew I would see steam working as it really should be. I travelled over 7000 miles by rail and these are some of the photographs that I brought back. Now this has all gone and steam is no more. What you see here now is history.
