There can be little doubt that the allure of travel is both powerful and exciting and I, more than most, have often been drawn to it. But equally travel is just another product and service which we are sold through glossy brochures, overstated promises and the dream makers illusions; often it is all too easy to fall for their sales pitch. Recently I decided to take a break from the loud call of far away places, adventure and excitement and settle down at home for a while; I wanted to take stock. But also I wanted to see what was on my own doorstep and a little Closer To Home.
