When people speak of New York they invariably mean Manhattan. This is not surprising, after all, it is where the sights are: The Empire State Building, Times Square, Central Park, Theatre Land. It is also the hub of New York City with its famous high end shops, the financial capital of the world, scenes from movies, words to songs and music to dance to. But there is another New York in the Outer Boroughs where people live in a world away from the bright lights and the rush of main street Manhattan. It is a world of sharp contrasts, of ethnic diversity, of old and new architecture, parking lots, mom & pop stores, diners and elevated subways passing noisily overhead. It is in fact, altogether Another New York.
