Habana Vieja - or Old Havana - is the area known mostly to the visitors and tourists and there are many attractions to this part of Cuba. And while some time spent here is worthwhile there are other parts of Havana equally worth seeing but not usually recommended to the tourist. In fact, the local guides often suggest that such areas are best avoided. But if you wish to see the residence of Havana, their homes, shops, work, play and their world, then this is where to go. And while Old Havana will give you a taste of what is here, you have to visit the other parts to get the real flavour.
